Work on the northbound lane is complete. Crews switched to the southbound lane last month. They poured concrete for the new side wall. Upcoming work includes demolishing the bridge deck on the southbound lane.
Traffic is alternating across the bridge using temporary traffic signals as the bridge is down to one lane during construction.
The project is estimated to be complete by Summer, 2023.

A stone base was placed for the roadway widening and curb and gutter on the western side of MD 108. New curb and gutter was completed on MD 108 on the southwestern part of the project.
Crews removed pavement on the southside of MD 108 east of the intersection to start work on the new median. Construction continues on the stormwater management facility on the eastside of MD 108.
There will be frequent lane closures with a flagging operation on eastbound MD 108 during the work hours of Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Office of Transportation developed a web-based interactive map for the MD 99 Corridor Investigation Report.
The State Highway Administration (SHA) recently revised the signal timing on MD 99 at US 29 and Rogers Avenue to address safety concerns involving westbound left-turners and the eastbound traffic. The speed limit on MD 99 was also reduced from 50 mph to 40 mph. SHA also approved exclusive left-turn phasing at MD 99 and Woodstock Road for traffic and safety reasons. MDOT SHA is currently working to fund and schedule the exclusive left-turn phasing project on MD 99 this year.
SHA will be trimming brush and trees and installing additional signage along MD 99 over the summer to mitigate sight distance issues at the existing stop-controlled intersections.
