Welcome to the heart of Howard County. District 4 includes five Columbia villages, Wilde Lake, Harper’s Choice, Hickory Ridge, Town Center and River Hill, as well as parts of Clarksville, Highland, Fulton, and North Laurel.
It is a diverse area with a mix of urban and suburban neighborhoods, shopping and entertainment, offices, as well as farms, parks, and waterways -- a microcosm of Howard County and the epicenter of the original Columbia vision.
Among our many claims to fame are Howard County’s important attractions and features: Merriweather Post Pavilion, Symphony Woods, The Mall in Columbia, and the historic Harriet Tubman School. We have almost 100 miles of wooded paths, a beautiful lakefront, the Middle Patuxent River Environmental Area, and the Rocky Gorge Reservoir. Major employers are headquartered here as well, including Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab and Howard County General Hospital.
But most importantly, District 4 residents are engaged, informed, and dedicated to civic life. All of these are important features for a communities’ long-term success and I look forward to serving this district.
