Crews poured concrete to form the new bridge deck on the southbound lane of the MD 94 bridge last month. They also installed SIP forms, shear studs and epoxy rebar.
Traffic is alternating across the bridge using temporary traffic signals as the bridge is down to one lane during construction.
Completion is still on track for this summer.

The Office of Transportation developed a web-based interactive map for the MD 99 Corridor Investigation Report.
The State Highway Administration (SHA) recently revised the signal timing on MD 99 at US 29 and Rogers Avenue to address safety concerns involving westbound left-turners and the eastbound traffic. The speed limit on MD 99 was also reduced from 50 mph to 40 mph. SHA also approved exclusive left-turn phasing at MD 99 and Woodstock Road for traffic and safety reasons. MDOT SHA is currently working to fund and schedule the exclusive left-turn phasing project on MD 99 this year.
SHA will be trimming brush and trees and installing additional signage along MD 99 over the summer to mitigate sight distance issues at the existing stop-controlled intersections.
For additional questions and concerns, please contact David Cookson, Planning Manager.
The work requires a single-lane closure on southbound MD 32 and the closure of the eastbound I-70 ramp to southbound MD 32. The detour directs motorists on eastbound I-70 to northbound MD 32, with a u-turn to access southbound MD 32.
Crews are working overnight, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursdays.
This project will be complete by July.
