State and County Road Projects
Highway improvements will remove the top layer of the roadway, repair depressions and cracks, and install a new driving surface as follows:
I-70 at MD 32 - Driving improvements on interchange ramps began last month. The schedule is 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. during the week with ramp closures and detour routes. Only one ramp will be closed each night. Completion is expected in October.
I-70 between the Carroll Co line and Baltimore Co line - A patching project is scheduled to start the week of October 12. Crews will work from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. The project is expected to finish in December.
US 29 between MD 99 and Frederick Road - Crews are patching the roadway during overnight work hours.
MD 32 between MD 144 and MD 99 - Remaining work includes line striping and pavement markers. The schedule is overnight hours.
The Office of Transportation developed a web-based interactive map for the MD 99 Corridor Investigation Report.
