Our community is experiencing fear, anger, and uncertainty as federal immigration enforcement actions intensify. No one should have to live in constant fear of being separated from their family or targeted because of who they are or where they come from.

Howard County’s strength comes from our diversity and our commitment to treating every resident with dignity and respect. That commitment shows up not only in local policies, but in the everyday actions of community members, nonprofits, faith leaders, educators, and advocates who continue to support their immigrant neighbors.

Knowing your rights, having a plan, and staying connected to trusted local organizations can make a real difference. Resources like Luminus, CASA of Maryland, the Amica Center, and local community groups are here to provide legal support, report activity, and help neighbors meet their needs.

By staying informed, looking out for one another, and sharing reliable resources, we can continue to build a county where dignity, safety, and belonging come first, for everyone.
