Greetings Neighbor, On November 6, 2018, I was elected to be your Councilman representing the viewpoints of the amazing people of the Second District of Howard County.
To fulfill its responsibilities to Howard County constituents, the County Council will frequently create investigative groups to learn more about problems affecting constituents. Those findings will then be used by Councilmembers to help determine the best path forward.
On October 5, 2020, the County Council voted to approve CR142-2020, legislation establishing the first Racial Equity Task Force for Howard County. The Task Force is charged with recommending legislation to the County Council to address racial disparities and inequities in Howard County.

Council Resolution 104-2023 created this Cannabis Workgroup to study the effects of adult-use cannabis
legalization in Howard County and recommend legislative actions to promote health, public
safety, and equity in the local adult-use cannabis market; and generally relating to adult-use
cannabis.
